About the programme
The Master of Management (Marketing) is an NZQF Level 9 degree at ICL Graduate Business School that pairs general management with advanced study of marketing strategy and analytics. It is worth 180 credits and takes 12 months.
The programme is designed for graduates of business, management or related undergraduate degrees. On top of core management and leadership principles it adds specialist marketing skills: in-depth marketing analytics, theories of how consumers behave, and hands-on use of AI-powered marketing tools. Students critically review current management thinking and learn to base decisions on data in a changing environment.
Graduates should be able to read complex markets, plan, launch and fine-tune marketing initiatives in different kinds of organisations, and turn data into clear recommendations for decision-makers. The programme favours culturally responsive approaches that work in international markets and with diverse audiences.
The curriculum consists of eight 15-credit papers and a 60-credit applied project. Specialist papers cover marketing in the 21st century, AI in marketing, and consumer behaviour in the digital marketplace. Study runs over three 16-week trimesters. Students must bring their own laptop or tablet.
Graduates should be able to build data-driven marketing strategies using analytics, consumer insight and AI tools, and to lead marketing innovation and business growth. They can work in corporations, start-ups, government and not-for-profits.
