About the programme
The Master of Management (Supply Chain and Logistics Management) is an NZQF Level 9 degree at ICL Graduate Business School that pairs general management with advanced study of supply chains and logistics. It is worth 180 credits and takes 12 months.
The programme builds on undergraduate study in business, management or a related field. Core management and leadership principles are combined with specialist skills in designing supply networks, running logistics and improving how these systems perform. Students critically assess current management theory, carry out applied research and learn to bring analytical and strategic thinking to a constantly changing environment.
Graduates should be able to examine, plan and improve end-to-end supply and logistics networks with the help of analytical tools, sustainability principles and international best practice. The programme also covers risk management for more resilient supply chains, handling operational data and preparing recommendations for decision-makers. It favours culturally responsive approaches suited to interconnected global markets.
The curriculum has eight 15-credit papers — among them strategic supply chain management, global logistics and operations, and sustainable procurement — plus a 60-credit applied project. Study runs over three 16-week trimesters. Graduates can work in manufacturing, retail, logistics, consulting and government. Students must bring their own laptop or tablet.
It also prepares graduates for consultancy and senior operational roles.
