Crosscredit of the subjects studied

Study gradually to get a degree
The most important advantage of studying at Nairi University for students is the possibility of a gradual possibility of a set of courses from which you can make a bachelor's or master's degree program. You can study the courses that are present in a particular program at a calm pace, and when you set all the necessary kit that is present in your chosen program, you can request an assessment, cross-credit and recognition of education, with the issuance of a corresponding diploma. Of course, some programs require theses or research papers. But this is easily overcome for you if you have already studied so many courses. When evaluating the courses you have completed and the requested diploma, you, along with the assessment, will be informed of the necessary conditions that must be met to obtain a diploma (writing a thesis, scientific work, etc.). It will also be described in detail how you should do it, who will be the curator of the work, the cost of the service and other necessary details.
This is the best thing that can happen to you when planning your education and career.
Get extended credit for your degree
At Nairi University, your previous education and experience matter. We don't want to teach you what you already know, so we offer the opportunity to get a loan for your previous studies. This may mean that you study fewer courses to get a degree, saving you valuable time and money. You must be enrolled in the NU program before the cross-credit of disciplines takes place. However, you can start the process by requesting an assessment right when you submit your application. Find out what kind of recognition of knowledge applies to you below:

Pass a cross-credit of subjects for previous education
We have many options that will help you get credit for your previous education, including individual course assessment, postgraduate education, or so on.
You need to check whether your previous education is within the correct deadlines for studying disciplines in order to be considered for cross-credit. You can check this by studying the program or courses you want to study in each discipline. After that, we will evaluate the scope of the subjects studied.

Credits for studied courses from previous education
You can get a cross-credit for the studied disciplines, even if you have not graduated from a university and have not received a diploma or degree.
If you already have a diploma of higher education or a scientific degree, the possibility of cross-crediting disciplines to your program at NU can be a significant advantage for you. This can save you a lot of time and money.

If you have an existing bachelor's degree, your previous courses may be considered for crediting up to 50% of your NU degree requirements. All you have to do is follow up to apply for a cross-credit of disciplines, which will definitely be considered.
Assessment and cross-credit of subjects
Generally, courses will be considered for credit transfer regardless of when they were completed. However, there are some exceptions.
Depending on the program, NU will not award transfer credit for certain administrative studies courses (for example, law, accounting at the highest level, management sciences, marketing or finance), information systems courses or scientific courses that were completed more than 10 years ago.

Rate my cross-creditable disciplines
Are your courses not on the list? Don't worry. You may still be eligible for a loan transfer on an individual basis. The evaluation of your previous courses or programs after graduating from high school will be conducted after you apply for the program, submit all the necessary documents. After that, you need to send official transcripts from each institution where you previously studied directly to Nairi University.

Current credit score processing time: 4 weeks after receipt of all documents. However, depending on individual circumstances and capabilities, it may take up to 12 weeks to complete the assessment.

Crosscredit Evaluation Notification
Once your assessment is completed, Transfer Credit Services will notify you that your assessment is completed and inform you where you can access the results. Carefully study the transfer credit awarded and see how it has been applied to your training program.

Admission and cross-credit procedures

Applicants
If you are an applicant and want to apply for a NU program, you must register for a specific program by filling out the online common bachelor's application form.
Transcripts
Arrange for the official transcripts of your previous education — from each educational institution you previously attended — to be sent directly to NU. We will evaluate and cross-credit the requested disciplines. In some cases, additional supporting documentation may also be required to start the assessment.
The documents received in support of the application for admission become the property of NU. Copies of the foreign documents submitted by you can be sent to you upon request.

Students requesting assessment and cross-credit of disciplines are responsible for providing newly released official transcripts to NU.

Course structure/curricula
This information will be useful to students who want an unassigned loan to be changed to a direct equivalent loan, as well as students who want to evaluate courses that have not been provided by a cross-credit of disciplines.
For any of the above cases, the student must submit detailed course diagrams (curricula) to NU. A description of the calendar will not be enough.

The information in the detailed course schematics should include:
  • Name of the institution
  • Course name, number and year of completion of the course
  • Setting course goals
  • Detailed course plan
  • Number of weeks duration
  • Number of hours of lectures per week (laboratory/textbook/seminar/classroom work, independent work)
  • Evaluation method
  • Textbooks used
  • The content of tasks and the interpretation of abbreviations
  • Powers of lecturers (program manager, etc.)
  • Course name (if available)
  • The amount of the loan and the system of assignment (for example, the Bologna system)
Sometimes we may require students to provide copies of exams and/or assignments. When this information is received, it will be reviewed by the relevant department and you will be notified of the results in writing.
The course description must be presented in English or Russian. If the course was completed in a language other than English or Russian, the original plan must be submitted together with the translated version.
Please note that NU reserves the right to request that official documents be sent directly from the university to NU.
While you're waiting

Assessments take time. When our Transfer Credit Services receives all transcripts, supporting documents, your request for evaluation is queued. If additional information is needed or NU is experiencing large volumes of requests, it may take longer. In addition to official transcripts, supporting documentation such as course and program descriptions may be required from the sending institution. Failure to provide this information when it is requested will hinder the evaluation process. When the assessment is completed, you will be notified of which transferable credit has been awarded and how it applies to your study program.
While you are waiting for the completion of the assessment of your previous education, you can register for a course or program. If your course duplicates the course work already completed, you can get credit for only one of the courses. NU cannot confirm that any course will comply with your certification rules until your assessment is completed.
