Master of Information Technology

The joint Master's program, within the framework of partnerships between Russian and New Zealand universities, was developed by Whitireia Community Polytechnic & Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec), New Zealand, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU), Russia and Nairi Online University (NU).

The program is designed to facilitate the adaptation of students and ease the financial burden, based on the realities of the modern world. In addition, students receive educational documents from both countries, significantly saving on tuition and accommodation.

Duration of education: 1.5 years
Language to study: English

Admission requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree, Specialist) of the relevant profile with an average score of at least 50%
IELTS Academic 6.5 overall language test (and at least 6.0 for each module) or equivalent.
To continue studying at WelTec – successful completion of the program and obtaining certificates of Postgraduate certificate in Intelligent systems program from SPbPU

Qualification documents:
Master Degree Diploma “Master of Science (Informational Technologies), WelTec
Postgraduate certificate in Intelligent Systems (Diploma of refresher training in the direction of "Intelligent Systems"), SPbPU

Tuition fees:
Training at SPbPU: RUB 175 000. Payment is made in rubles at the current exchange rate at the time of payment.
Training in NU: NZD 850.
Training at WelTec: NZD 25 000. Payment is made in WelTec in New Zealand dollars.

The structure of the master's program:
The first semester students study at SPbPU and receive a certificate of Postgraduate certificate in Intelligent Systems (SPbPU). Then students continue their studies for 1 academic year at WelTec and receive a Master degree in Information Technology (WelTec) diploma.

Start of training:
At Peter the Great SPbPU: September 1 or February 1
In WelTec 4 times a year after the end of the semester at SPbPU

Postgraduate program INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS
The program is aimed at training highly qualified world-class specialists with knowledge about the state, development trends and practical application of intelligent systems and technologies, information processing systems, intelligent automation systems, intelligent robotics, cyber-physical systems, applied tasks of industrial automation, robotics and control.
The program is implemented in cooperation with leading Russian and international companies (Siemens, SAP, General Motors, Festo Didactic) and branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The Issued Document is a Postgraduate Certificate in Intelligent Systems

Continuing education at WelTec

Master in Information Technology
Students will become experts in their chosen field, will receive practical research relevant to their interests from a range of options that include data mining, cloud computing, business analysis, business analytics, ICT infrastructure, information management, mobile application development, network design and management, security and forensics, quality assurance and system architecture.

- significant savings in the cost of training. The full tuition fee for the WelTec-only program is NZD 33,000 for 1.5 years. Taking into account the cost of accommodation, the total amount of tuition will be approximately NZD 65,000. But if you choose a joint program with SPbPU and NU, the total amount will be NZD 48,500. Taking into account the actual expenses, the student's savings can be about 30-40%.
